Daily cleaning routine:
A daily cleaning routine consists of a dusting/sweeping of the flooring. This is the best course of action to take, to prevent scratches and other surface damage.
We recommend for our customers to use a microfibre cleaning pads for this job and this is great at trapping dust, dirt and other household allergens. A soft bristle sweeping brush can also do a thorough job, however just be wary of the brush pushing the dirt around when lifted from the floor.

Weekly Cleaning Routine:
Depending on your household traffic e.g young children/pets, you may need to do this cleaning routine more than once a week. For households with the average traffic a weekly vacuum and mop is sufficient for good cleaning and maintenance.
The weekly cleaning routine is designed for those more hard to reach areas that your daily routine does not reach: such as the corner of rooms, underneath sofas and skirting boards. Take extra care when using vacuum cleaners and mops to avoid unnecessary damage.

Monthly Cleaning Routine:
We’d recommend to polish of your hardwood flooring around 3-4 times a year, you may want to up this to 5-6 times a year if your home has heavy traffic. A polish will give your flooring a good refresh, get it looking as good as new, as well as adding extra protection, this is essential in prolonging the life of your flooring.
The daily and weekly cleaning routines will only really clean to top layer on the flooring. When you polish the flooring you fill in microscopic scratch which evens out the surface of the flooring. You do not need to get a professional in to polish the flooring, you can easily to this yourself.
