How Greyspace Flooring Started.
Greyspace Flooring was established in 2015 by Carl, a talented hardwood floor installer from Sheffield with 15 years of joinery experience. His goal was to provide Sheffield and surrounding areas with a flooring company that specialised in the supply and installation of top quality wood flooring.
“After working in the joinery trade for 15 years up and down the country, I had seen all types of working methods both good and bad. With a young family my original motivation for setting up Greyspace Flooring in my hometown of Sheffield was so I could spend more time with my kids and watch them grow up. Now our goal is to continue to provide top quality wood flooring along with a top quality installation service to the homes of Sheffield and surrounding areas. We have always supplied and installed wood flooring only as I believe it is truly a beautiful and timeless material that can be adapted to any interior.”
Building a Stronger Brand.
After the huge success over the first couple of years, Greyspace Flooring became very well-known in the South Yorkshire area. To meet the demand out there, Carl put together a brilliant team of fitters, who all have a strong background of joinery. The team are all equally as talented as Carl is with the same attention to the finer details.
Greyspace Flooring and its team have invested in the best machines and tools on the market, to ensure the highest quality finish of the flooring installed and as we’re working in people’s homes, all our machines connect to vacuums to be as clean and as dust free as possible.
Carl and the team have attended many trades shows hosted in Harrogate and Hanover, as it is vital they stay up to date on the latest installation techniques, sustainable products and tools to enhance the service provided.
Our Future.
Over the next few years, there are a number of goals the company would like to accomplish:
Greyspace Flooring want to continue building the highly skilled team, as hardwood flooring is becoming more and more popular due to the high level of quality, timelessness and the durability of the product, building a bigger team means we will be able to expand further afield to areas outside of South Yorkshire and take on larger installation projects.
We always strive to be eco-friendly using sustainable and cruelty free products. We are always on the lookout for new products and we work closely with our current suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the highest of standards are continuously met.
Greyspace have already established some great relationships with building firms, interior designers and architects since opening. We receive a lot of recommendations from these relationships, and we hope to continue to build more of these strong, lasting relationships over the years.
