OVERVIEW
The quaint south-Sheffield suburbs are renowned for their elegant homes, which impose a sense of grandeur both inside and out. None more so than our client in Whirlowdale, who was in search of opulent wooden flooring to match the dark wooden cabinets and island in their open-plan kitchen.
We fitted beautiful engineered oak flooring, finished to the customer’s specification on site. Completed in less than a week, the kitchen certainly matches its beautiful surroundings with durable, sophisticated oak flooring that will last for years to come.
Project Challenges
Mrs Johnson got in touch in November 2019, in search of the perfect wooden flooring for her home’s open plan kitchen. She settled on a stunning engineered oak product, but was unsure with regards to the colour of the floor.
After considering several pre-finished products, she simply couldn’t decide which would be the perfect fit for the room’s existing cabinets, island and décor. Fortunately, our team was on hand to offer a practical solution.
Our Solution
We suggested to Mrs Johnson that she could have an unfinished board that would then be stained on site. This way, she could see a few colours on the floor in situ and decide which was the best fit, before the whole area was complete.
That would eliminate the need to try various pre-finished products, while still allowing her to find the flooring that works in harmony with the kitchen’s décor.
The Installation
Starting on 25th November 2019, our team supplied and fitted the unfinished engineered oak flooring in the kitchen of Mrs Johnson’s Whirlowdale home. We then applied several test patches of wood stain to the floor, allowing the customer to make her own decision.
Once Mrs Johnson has decided which she loved the most, we finished the floor on site to her exact specifications. The result? A stunning floor that’s hard wearing and certainly suitable for a kitchen.
Client Comments
Mrs Johnson has since been in touch expressing her happiness and gratitude for our service and the results:
“We are over the moon with the floor and can’t thank Lee and the team enough.”
